Can I require a detailed multi-stop plan?+
Yes. In Your part of Europe, turn on Detailed field notes only. Matching is then limited to cities with detailed walks; the current count is shown in the planner and catalogue. Country, region, distance, travel approach and exclusions still apply. If none fits, you receive an error and can adjust the filters; we do not silently substitute a starter plan. This setting is kept with a saved private plan.
What exactly do I receive?+
A two-night weekend itinerary matched to your selected departure city, style and pace, with a destination reveal, day-by-day suggestions, budget allocations, a packing list and official sources. You can download it or save a private link for 30 days. A booking-cost worksheet lets you enter costs you found, compare them with your budget and split entered costs equally. Worksheet entries are not saved with the plan link. Download an editable JSON backup and restore it on the same trip, budget, group and currency; import previews the total before replacing entries. CSV is for spreadsheets and cannot be restored here. Files are read locally and not uploaded.
Is this a booked holiday?+
No. This is a digital planning service. You arrange and pay for transport, accommodation, meals and activities directly with providers. Nothing is reserved and we do not charge for those services.
How much does it cost?+
The Explorer preview is currently free. A paid complete-plan service is in development. Its scope and price have not been announced, and purchasing is not enabled. You will not be asked for card details or charged in this preview. Your travel spending budget is separate.
Can I choose places I do not want to visit?+
Yes. Exclude cities in the planner. Your departure city is always excluded. If every possible city is excluded, we ask you to allow one instead of overriding your choice.
Does this cover all of Europe?+
The catalogue spans European countries, microstates, Cyprus and the Caucasus. It does not cover every town. Browse the European destinations page for exact coverage and any paused routes. Choose a listed departure hub or search 6,300+ additional city locations. Searched locations use Flights allowed matching only; they do not add new destinations.
Can I plan across borders?+
Yes. Allow flights and select a region or country, or keep a nearby rail/road match on the same landmass. Distance is straight-line, not actual journey time. Check travel documents, entry rules for your citizenship, transit requirements and actual transport before booking. Europe is not a single visa or border area.
How do currencies work?+
Choose the currency of your travel budget from ten options. The planner allocates that amount without converting it. Changing currency resets the example amount; it does not perform foreign exchange. Local prices and any payment-provider conversion fees must be checked separately.
How surprising is it?+
The destination is hidden behind a clue until you press Reveal. This is a voluntary surprise, not secure concealment: the plan is already generated on your device. You should reveal it before making any bookings.
Does the budget guarantee the price of my trip?+
No. It divides the amount you choose into spending limits. These are not current hotel, train or restaurant prices. Check actual prices and availability before you commit; choose another date or adjust your budget if needed.
What if it rains or I want a slower trip?+
Every plan includes a rainy-day alternative and an easy or full pace. You can change preferences and regenerate before saving. The plan does not check live weather or venue opening times.
Can children or travellers with accessibility needs use this?+
The current planner is for 1–6 adults. It does not verify step-free access or specialist requirements. Ask each provider to confirm suitability before booking; do not rely on the suggested walk as an accessibility assessment.
Where is my data stored?+
Generating a plan does not save it to our database. If you press Save private link, we store only your plan preferences and itinerary. Private links expire after 30 days; expired stored plans are removed on the next plan-storage request. We do not ask for your name, email, payment details or sensitive information in the preview. Anyone with the complete private link can open it.
Can I print or share it as a gift?+
Yes. Reveal the plan and use Print / Save PDF, download the text itinerary or a calendar .ics file, or create a private link. Calendar files contain three all-day notes, reveal the destination and include your selected stops. Import them manually; they do not sync after edits. Remove older imported copies to avoid duplicates. The destination stays behind a voluntary reveal button when a saved link opens. Anyone with the link can reveal it, so keep the link with the organiser until reveal day.
